So big Lurch, Fraser Forster, is back at Celtic on a season long loan where last year the young stopper made an impressive forty-four appearances between the sticks. Where does that now leave our 2nd favourite Polish keeper in recent times, Lukasz Zaluska?  – the quickest and probably correct answer to that question is behind double F in the pecking order. But has he done anything wrong?

This season you could say not a jot.  A man of the match performance against old club Dundee United last Saturday pulling off some top quality saves, and two away shut outs at Easter Road & Pittodrie, would you think put him in Pole position whichever keeper was brought in.  But with only 16 appearances for the Bhoys since joining over two years ago, it would seem he has hardly been battering the managers door for inclusion.

Forster on a few occasions last year, showed glimpses of what a great goalkeeper he can be for Celtic – he lacked a little experience in some games but that will surely come, most fans believe it and most importantly, Neil Lennon believes it.  Lurchio kept 21 clean sheets last season (he and LZ making it 23 which broke a previous club record held by Rab Douglas!!!), which I think shows how the big Hexham lad cemented his place as number one and also grew a good understanding with his back line.

Zaluska, now 29, should be Celtic’s number one of his own accord – his problem is not getting a regular run of games. Tonight will be a big night against Sion of Switzerland in Europe and a big night for Lennon & the two keepers – if Lukasz plays and plays well, this gives Neil a headache. If he drafts Forster straight back into the starting line up, Zaluskawill know how he is rated by the Celtic boss, and barring injury to the big man, will be getting himself comfy in that new super size dug out of ours.

"No 2....fack aff!!!"

Zaluska training to be No 1
